History I bought this at auction in a lot titled 'pieces of metal'. The other two pieces of metal in the lot are long (8cm) spear heads (corroded and old). This spoon has been under the ground at some point and has a dirt embedded in cracks and some surface corrosion. The brass shines through however at the ridges where it has been handled. It has been designed to be symetrical but due to human error is slightly uneven (only slightly). At the point where the figures protrude on the front of the spoon there is an equivalent indent on the back of the spoon. How old is this thing?
