Description Found table discarded by the side of the road while taking my fiance' (now my wife of 33 years) to a bridal shower. One leg was unattached, top needed refinishing. We refinished it the entire piece and repaired the leg. Twenty years later had three leaves made to match. Leaves are solid. Table surface is veneer. The label attached to the underside of the table top shows the name and address of the John W. Smith Company in Chicago. I think this was the original dealer. The name of the company that actually manufactured the piece seems to have been scratched out. Maybe Mr. Smith didn't want people to know where he purchased the furniture that he sold.
