Antique Meissen Pitcher, "Blue Onion" Pattern

By Cheyenne22, 15 April, 2010
Description

This footed pitcher is amazing in it's fine details. It is a long mouthed pitcher with a sculpted handle ornamented with an embossed leaf at the top, scrolling at the bottom and intricate handpainted details down the handle. There is embossed scrolling on the base, up through the middle and around the rim. The intricate, hand painted details are evident over this entire vessel. The blues are very vibrant and bright
