I can't make out the tag in the photo but there are a few clues to work with here.  The Applause division of Knickerbocker Toys (and the Disney license) was acquired by The Wallace Berrie Company in 1982 after their great success with the Smurf characters.  In 1986 the company changed its name to Applause Inc.  If the tag identifies the manufacturer as Applause Inc it is no older than 1986.

This model is not uncommon and is worth approximately $10-20.
