This is an original US Army Signal Corps "RadioPhoto" of General Alfred Gustav Jodl signing the instrument of surrender under which the remaining German forces are to lay down their arms in unconditional surrender on May 7, 1945. This starts "VE Day"!
General Jodl is at center, and I believe that's Admiral Doenitz to his left.
The scanned image doesn't do it justice. The photograph is actually much brighter and clearer that depicted.

Most of these US Army Signal Corps photos were printed in HUGE numbers for wire, newspaper and mementos bought on base. PLEASE, take it out of the broken glass frame and pit it in a archival plastic sleeve, as the cracked sharp glass will continue to damage the picture! Because of Jodl's picture, it should be a bit more than a normal US Army Signal Corps pic, about $50.
