Blue Transferware pitcher and basin, Mikado pattern by W&Co. Hadley

Description

Both pieces are in excellent condition.  There are two VERY minor "marks" at the bottom of the pitcher's body that are not visible when the pitcher is setting down on a surface and a small spot of "uneveness" in the finish where water would exit the spout.  Both items bear the stamp of W&Co. Hadley Mikado on their undersides.

Staffordshire Basin sets like this tend to date from the turn of the 19th Century and were hot items in the 1980's and 90's, but demand and values have declined a great deal since that time, comparable sets now go at auction for less than $150.00.
