Butler's Cabinet age and value??

Profile picture for user mefritsch

Description

This peice of furniture has an unknown history.  It was in my friend's household for many years.

The wood looks like solid mahagony with a veneer. The wood looks like it is 1/2 inch thick.  It has many wonderful details:  inlaid urn,  geometric trim on edge, and lion mask handles.  I have not looked on the bottom because it is very heavy.  It has scratches and some of the trim peices have fallen out. Some of the flaws you see are due to dust on the camera lense.  Any information would be appreciated.
