We bought this item about 8 years ago at an estate sale. Seller had not information on it at the time. I have researched and discovered that it is called a Captain's Davenport Desk. I am looking for possible value and some description information. Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Based on what I can see this piece is a 20th century reproduction of a early 19th century Davenport desk. Pieces like this tend to be either Chines or south east asian and made for the decorator market during the 1980's. The often look older than they really are because the crude construction and finishing.
