Description

old sword by m c lilley and co. columbus ohio.has a knight helmut on hilt.grip is made of leather with a single wire wrap.one side of the hand guard is th letter k and on the other side is the letter h.On the opposite sides of these letters appear to be shields with m-y-i etched in them.Knights of Honor is also etched in the blade.the sword is in poor cond withe alot of wear in the leather grip.im looking for some history,the age and appraisal of this item...thx

your sword is from the fraternal org.Knights of Honor(the K and the H ) on the hilt.the M.Y.I. on reverse of hilt designates their three degrees. Manhood/Youth/Infancy.Est. in louisville Kentucky in 1873.More info on their website.Vaule unknown.
