Confederate States currency

Description

$100 Confederate States of America, dated 1862 with hand-written number #65798.  This is stamped on the front edges in black ink stamp..."Safe Conduct Pass" on one end, and "Libera Conducto Permeso" on the other. The back of the item is stamped in  black "The bearer of this pass is to be removed from the battle area and is to receive food and rest", and signed by J.H. Gilbert
