I have a king bed with two armoires, head unit, lighted bridge, and two mirrors. I also have the original assembly instructions. This is made of solid pecan wood. I acquired it through a house I bought in auction, and the sellers didn't want to move it. It belonged to their parents which had passed, but I believe they were the original owners. I have listed the condition as excellent because I have watched woo many antiques roadshows to know that in order to be mint, it had to come from the heavens, but as far as I can tell this one did. I included the details in an email exchange with Drexel heritage customer service reps (which are awesome btw). There is no water rings, no cracked doors, hardware is great, drawers open perfect, and mirrors are pristine. Hopefully somebody out there can tell me what this is worth. I have no problem selling it, so offers are welcomed but would like an appraisal first. Read further for customer service description of what I have.
Your pieces are indeed from the collection Accolade II which was roughly in production from 1978 to 1992. It continued with Accolade III into1995. The actual date of production is July 1982 as indicated by the "7-82" marked directly on the piece. The approximate suggested Manufacturer's retail price for the bed, Lightbridge and two armoire ends was from $3992 to $4990 in the mid to late 80's. Attached is a description of the collection which may assist you in describing it for re-sale. Unfortunately we no longer make anything close to this combination so I am unable to give you what it would cost to replace today. Your pieces were also made in NC.
