Description
This whimsical old brown bear figural pitcher is typical of pieces made by the Schafer & Vater Company of Germany from the early 1900's. The bear is wearing a pale green overcoat with pockets and has his hands in a "fur" muff. His mouth is open to create the pour spout. The piece measures just over 5" to the highest point and has a faint crown mark on the base. In excellent condition.
