i was hoping to gain an evaluation and also information about fernando esser (remsceid) as an silversmith maker... I have a set of sterling or coin silver flatware marked fernando esser .I would like to know if this is rare/ it appears to me really rare because I have found nothing on that topic. I have found tons of information about swords and knives he produced in 1799 until his death in the 1800s . With that said nothing at all about flatware he made neither with his name ,althorough it seems like a chat room had stated that often flatware was sometimes exported without being sent to the assays office, especially by german silversmiths. Finally I want to know whether for so much ,when did esser begin making flatware, and with whom.I am also curious about the value of a set made by him .I have a large set and thought it difficult to to take a picture of 130 pieces .
