I received this vase as a gift from an Italian priest in Bari Italy while I was assigned to an Air Force Base in Brindisi Italy. The priest had 4 of these urns and said they came from the basement of an old church in Bari. He kept one, gave two to nuns one and gave the fourth one to me back in 1982 and I have carried it arround for years and do not know what to do with it.
I don't do pottery often but in this case i would make a suggestion. Try taking it to a museum and getting it dated. depending on what the age is the museum might buy it off you. Private collectors won't buy this do to not having any paperwork on it. It is a lovely piece though. Good Luck.
For me it is a reproduction of an Etruscan vase, in this case the value is minimal, if it would be worth at least 1500 USD ancient, but since the state in which it is, after fifteen hundred years old, it is very authentic impropabile
