Description
All hand built & elaborately 100% hand-carved cabinet with fitted marble top. Top drawer, then door two-drawers tall opens to shelf space, then 2 lower drawers. Definitely old, oak has darkened, never stained, surface seems to have only original old formula shellac.
The shelf space interior appears to have newer cut marble pieces for walls & shelf. Door hinges gone but top latch intact, opens out and down. Rounded front feet, all knobs still quite tight. Very little damage.
Located in Texas. No history is known. I’m interested in any insight on possible origin, age, any clues about the motifs of the carved designs and when/where they were heavily used.
