Italian Nativity Set

Description

I have a nine piece nativity set.   They are hand painted and numbered porcelain from Italy, the writing on the bottom is in gold for all pieces except for the ox and donkey.  The blue stickers on the bottom say "Made by Aldo for Gloria" and "Made by Aldo for J.B."  The two tallest wise men figures stand about 12 inches tall, with Mary and Joseph and other wise man standing around 9 inches.

I am curious about the artist, how old they are, and what the value is.  I have been trying to research these for years and have found nothing.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have the same set and, unfortunately, have no information to add. I'm hoping you get some insights.

Italian sets like this generally post date the late 1950's and were made right into the 1980's. I don't have any information regarding the maker of this set, but then many such sets were made under contract for American giftware importers, the company labels often only being foil or paper and often removed after purchase.
