Ivory, A. Santini woman with basin statue

By 7mtrip, 24 September, 2015
Description

My great uncle brought this statue back from France during World War I I (where he was stationed). We have had it tested and it has been confirmed that it is ivory dust (which they said comes from the elephant tusk). It is in pretty good shape but I think there is a possible chip on bottom part of her covering. I have seen some made by other artists and the only other one from same artist is on this site but no appraisal was given (only a comment from someone who says they are not older than 1980 which I know for sure this statue is older than that).
