Japanese Pottery Vase

By Hamm8228, 9 September, 2014
Description

This colorful vase has been in my family since before I was born, it belonged to my grandmother.  It is marked "JAPAN" on the bottom with another marking directly above that I cannot read.  It also has some markings in the middle of the bottom that look like numbers, but I'm not sure.

My uncle served in Japan during WWII and I think he may have purchasedd this for my grandmother there.  It has no chips, but does have some rubbing off of the paint.  The flowers, leaves, etc are raised.
