the jefferson wood working co

By mikebutler, 11 August, 2010
Description

the table is in good shape it has the normal wear spots on it but it has been pased down to my family that me and my wife have started and most of mine passed away but there is no burn spots dints dings but it has been taken care of for many many years my family has had and passed down to but what i was told this table has been all over the world because most of my family was serving in the ARMY,Marines,Air Force and the Navy so where they were at the table went but for the past 15 to 20 years it has been in the USA cause they all have retired or passed away but one chair in two spots needs to be reglued but i want a person that deals with antiques to fix it and maybe restore it like it was when it was brand new but i like the way it looks but the wife tells me or asks me why dont you do it but i dont cause its an antique and in real good shape but it is a dark wood slides to add one or both leafs and it has a lever with a rod to lock the table in place where it wount slide open when used but its all hand crafted and it is signed by the crafter and inspector on the underside of the table but i have always admired this table cause of the craftsmanship and how everything was hand crafted back then unlike today its all machines or premolded but its a work of art to my eyes. but i have more pics but i cant find out how to put more up but if you are wanting to see mor just email me at [email protected] and i will be more than happy to send you more and ask any questions you may have. thanks mike
