These colorful litho pins were issued as premiums in boxes of Kellogg's Pep Cereal in the 1940s. This is the premier character pin set of the era, featuring all the popular comic strip characters of the day, issued during an era in which comic characters had an even higher profile in popular culture than today. Each pin measures 3/4 inches in diameter and features a portrait image of a comic character or adventure hero, with an advertisement for Kellogg's "Pep" cereal on the reverse.
