Ladder Back Chairs

Description

The first chair is a brown wooden ladder back with a fabric seat.

Second chair is a brown wooden ladder back with a cane seat and "fancy" wood details on the legs and chair rails and ladder back.

Chairs like this tend to be rather generic, produced right from the 1700's on the east coast of the USA and made well into the 1800's. The style has been been in almost constant reproduction since the late 1870's in the style called Colonial Revival. Values last peaked by in the 1990's and have declined drastically for even older examples, most selling for under $150.00
