Description

I purchased this desk second hand about two years ago. I paid $100 for it. The guy said it belonged to his deseased mother.

The desk's hight is shorter than todays desks. It is dark wood color. The drawers on the side look like two but its actually one deep drawer. The hinges are very pretty and original.

Inside the middle drawer it has a tag with Landstrom Furniture Company Rockford Illinois 1879 printed.

Landstrom was a well known maker of fine furniture in a variety of period styles. Desks like this one tend to date freom the secons quarter of thr 20th Century, but look older because they were designed to resemble early 18th Century English furniture. Values for these desks depends a great deal on their condition, we'd retail one in very good condition in the $600.00- $800.00 range, but they often go at auction for less than $350.00
