Lane Cedar Chest, unknown design.

By RKParisi, 18 March, 2015
Description

When my father died, my family came into possession of this Lane chest. We really don't know anything about it beyond the readily available information online (such as the serial number providing the manufacturing date), and we haven't been able to find one of comparable design.

The chest was not well treated before it came into my father's hands, as evidenced by the surface marring and the fact that one of the legs has a part of it chopped off (how they even managed that is beyond me).

Any input as to what this design was called, and what it might be worth, would be much appreciated.
