Lead Artillery Shell or Tool

By weatherguy61, 17 November, 2013
Description

I found these at a local garage sale.  I have 4 of them.  They each weight exactly 30 lbs and are 7" tall.  The hole in the end is 1 1/16".  The upper diameter of it is 4" and the lower diameter of this is 3 9/16".  I have taken these to a recycling plant and they tested it and said it was definetly lead.  They had no clue what it was though or what it had been used for.  Hopefully you can shed some light on the subject.  Thank you and look forward to hearing from you.
