Description

MidCentury Lane Altavista, VA coffee table. Beautifully carved, I believe it is walnut. There are quite a few scratches.

I too have one of these tables. From the research I have done I am finding the table to be valued from $350 to $400.  As for age, I can only guess by looking at Lane's history. "Lane expanded to occasional tables in 1951, case goods in 1956, and accent pieces in 1965."  https://www.lanefurniture.com/about/history

It's in the American Colonial Revival style, the design based on Goergian furniture made during the 18th century. Most furniture companies produced a similar line of furniture , the style remains in production to this day. These tables were mass produced, their values depending a great deal on condition, we'd sell one in very good condition for about $350.00, but they often go at auction for under $100.00.
