Nippon Hand Painted Moriage Pitcher Ewer

By Blair 827, 22 March, 2011
Description

Lovely ewer has a creamy white base hand painted with pale yellow, rich aqua blue-green and pink roses and is decorated with a fancy gilded moriage pattern.

Blue Maple Leaf backstamp with "Nippon" and "Hand Painted" in English cursive. Circa 1890's. No visible cracks, chips or crazings. Some of the gilding looks faded or rubbed here or there, but otherwise this beautiful piece is in good condition
