Background:
This cookie jar was given to me by my parents and I would like to find out the value of this piece since my wife and I are in the process of consolidating and moving.
I was able to obtain some information regarding this cookie jar by searching in google "gob cookie jar". However, I have yet to find the exact same item. What appears to make my item unique from the others, is that has some type of "stamping plate" and/or painted seal to the right side of the sailor's scarf as observed within one of the four attached pictures.

Distinguishing marks: GOB, USA imprinted on bottom, Silver painted seal indicating "hand painted 22 karat gold"
