satsuma vase

Description

It looks like a Japanese bath house. It all looks hand painted. Has design on inside of top ring. Raised letters on bottom of vase looks like spelling out CH or DH.

This vase is a late 20th Century item, even so you did well to get it for $15.00. A lot of the vases like this one were sold ( and still are) in Garden supply/Decorator outlets. Satsuma is actually a province in Japan where similar pieces are made, pieces not made in Japan would be referred to as " Satsuma Style.
