Ship's Wheel Bi-Colored Mirror

By sableib, 24 November, 2013
Description

Large ship's wheel mirror, bi-colored.  Blue colored mirror at base, clear mirror at top half.  Etched glass from behind of sailboat on waves.  Size is at least 24" in diameter.   There are no markings on it.

I believe it was a wedding present to my great-grandparents in the early 1920's - he was a Merchant Marine.

Re: Ship's Wheel Bi-Colored Mirror

Can someone please give me any information AT ALL about this mirror?  I might be interested in selling it.

Thanks!

Re: Ship's Wheel Bi-Colored Mirror

Well, this one does not look like a conversion from a genuine ship's wheel, it could date anywhere from the 1920's through 50's. As a Novelty piece we'd retail one like it for about $225.00.
