soapstone pipe

By bargooon, 8 February, 2017
Description

i got this carved pipe at auction last year for a few dollars. I believe it is soapstone. I have no idea of its origin. The consignor seemed to have a number of items from Nepal. If anyone can help me through the photos in regards to its origin/date/value, I would greatly appreciate solving the mystery. Thank-you.

Re: soapstone pipe

I finally found something on the net that comes as close to this pipe as I have seen. It was Inuit and made from serpentinite. Would anyone be able to comment on this and my original post/pictures? Thanks
