Description
What I have here is a small glass bottle. It no longer has a lid, but it has this strange glass inner wall near the top of the inside of the bottle. It is clear, and stands 2 1/2" tall and the diameter of the opening is about an inch and a half. There are no company names on this bottle. On the bottom is inscribed patd 1759866. I'm really curious as to what this bottle was really used for. I've come into quite a few vintage and antique items lately, mostly glass- and I am just getting to know about the world of jars, bottles, and other breakable things. Grateful for any help, thanks.
Re: strange small bottle with inside glass insert
you tilt the bottle to the side and fill the little catch area (the reservoir) with ink. tilt it back right side up take the lid off. the little catch area gets a little ink for use for you so you dont have to dunk the tip and can be more accurate in your dip. they sell for 2-5$
