Here are three Guanyin fine carvings. The purple nephrite on is a beautiful and rare color and the surface is waxy and matte finish like river nephrite Jade. The style of the robes and the fact she has no neckless on tells me she is from Ming according to my research but I could be worng.
The Brown jad Guanyin is smaller and she is riding what looks like a mythical deer with a unicorn horn, but the deer is very beautifully carved and the nephrite Jade appears dark brown in the shade and it glows orangish in ths sunlight and is translucent.
The White Jade Guanyin I find unique as she is accompanied by a little girl. The carving is very detailed and wll done. The base is calcified and there are calcifications in the halo in the back and a slight vein of color change witch to me indicates age to be very old possibly form ming according to my studies. The jade is very transparent in the places not yet calcified. the surface is between matte and shiney . As you can see from my slide show her face is very translucent and with not too much of a shiney finish...very satin textured.
I appreciate any help in figuring on the values of these.
