Vintage Cut Glass Lamps

By Ranchmama, 2 March, 2016
Description

I have these crystal lamps that my mother got from a friend's mother's estate, putting them back to early 1900's. The fittings are Leviton, but I don't know anything else about them and whether they are lead crystal, cut glass, or Waterford. The design is ornate and detailed.

The bases are non-magnetic and could be silver.

Being square, they are very difficult to match online, so I am asking for information and potential value.

Total height (to top of light fitting) is 20"

Glass is 3" square but flairs out at top to just under 4".

Silver base is appx 4 3/4" square.

Re: Vintage Cut Glass Lamps

Check the lamp bases for hallmarks, if the base is actually Sterling silver they will be marked to indicate the silver content. Most american examples would be marked "Sterling" or "925", 925 being the numerical mark, sterling being 92.5% Silver. English examples will have a series of stamps to indicate the maker and when it was made.
