William Cullen Bryant "To the Fringed Gentian" Handwritten and Signed

By nmlloyd, 11 August, 2015
Description

This was found inside of a scrapbook which was given as a present to Bertha E. Chamberlaine in 1885. It seems she was interested in poetry, or was an aspiring poet herself. The scrapbook also contains handwritten and/or signed poems by James Berry Bensel ("She and I") and Margaret E. Sangster ("Our Own"). I would like to know if this is an authentic piece, and what the value may be.
