Got this item from a guy in Fort Lauderdale, who said it had been in the family many years. He said it was from the 1800's. The (German) name & address inside may be the original owner or person who had it made.
This suite consists of a table /w 1 arm chair,4 side chairs,Buffet,Server,and China Cabinet.This is a complete set.There are 2 leafs and pads for the table.The chairs need re-upholstering.I have some fabric that I used to start re-upholstering them.The table,server,and buffet need some re-finishing.There is a piece of wood and 1 pull missing from a drawer on the buffet.There are original tags on all of the pieces /w the style/suite number-5964.
I believe it was made to go in the first class Veranda Cafe aboard the Titanic. It is the Wisteria pattern. There is very minor wear on the gold decoration. There are no cracks, chips or nicks.There is some loss of the back stamp but the majority of it is very clear. The enamel work is pristine.
