my item looks to me like a small bed warmer from the pilgrem era, but i believe it is a remake as an ornamental item? i put my ash tray in it so it is hiden from plain site. it is made of silver or silver plate and has a wooden handle. On the top cover it has an etching of two ions dueling with a shield between them and on top of the shield is an arm holding a knife. the top part of the design is worn more so than the rest. i would love to know what it is and what it was used for, and if it is worth anything at all. it looks to me like it would be? i also have a copper pot that is definately old it is completely covered with pettina. it looks like a big sauce pan but very old and some what worn on the bottom. handle is also copper and it is a flat handle, not rounded. o.k. thanks for any help i recieve in advance. lisa k spring hill fl. i could take pics if any one needed me to, i just hav`nt got around to it. again thanks
Ive gotten a gift for my wedding from My Father.. he wasnt a very good man..he gave me a set of goblets (4)..I know nothing about them, where they came from, if they have any history on them.On the bottom it is marked silverplate spain leonard. They are copper with aot of black marks on them.. probably meaning that they werent taken care of very well.My question, are they actually worth keeping, or is it just another piece of junk, like my old man.
Sold by Sears, Roebucks and Co., it is one of the first electric sewing machines sold by Kenmore. The outer desk is oak wood and the machine is cast iron. This is a Kenmore model 38 117-831, circa 1938. It is in good condition, and has been used to sew material within the past 5 years. Desk was painted in the mid-1950's then semi-stripped. The desk itself is in great condition, and if completely stripped would be transformed into its previous glory.

It's a China serving platter with silver trim
All I have been able to find is that with this type of mark it was most likely made between 1901 and 1909. Would love to know anything else about this piece. It is a serving platter that was in my mother's things when she passed. I have checked several web sites, but have been unable to find any other info. Would welcome any information.
