I'm guessing this is silver plated? It also has 'Old Windsor Club' engraved on it, so if anyone could tell me what that is, I would appreciate it!
This plate looks as though it is very ancient maybe of Assyrian, Egyptian, or Babylonian decent. It has what appears to be three men fighting or trying to kill an unknown animal with a horn of some sort on top of its head and a cherubim in the sky above pointing upward... there are also some depictions of maybe a flowering plant native to the area that it was made in? The intricacy of the detail in its artwork and craftsmanship are incredible. It has no insignia, hallmark, or any kind of signature from its creator either???? Please help me figure out what it is that I’ve found!
I bought this locket off of ebay for about $11.00 I love vintage jewelry and lockets. I had never seen one like this so I got it. I don't really know anything about these things and was just wondering of someone would know any history about it!
Hi, This stick horse was found in the attic of a 95 yr old collector (friends parent). There were lots of antiques in the home. That said, I feel this may be a reproduction, but have felt that way on other items of theirs and was dead wrong..... on more than one occasion. If this is authentic, it belongs in a museum. Looks too good to be true. However I stand to be corrected. They would like to sell it.
Made in USA. Has intricate design on clock face. Pic is in the attachment. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Antique bowfront secretary bookcase with original bowed glass. Has 4 adjustable shelves and a drop down desk top that is hinged. 3 drawers below secretary top drawer has a rounded front. Above the bookcase and secretary are 2 original beveled edge mirrors with carved design above. The secretary front has a carved tree design. Plain feet that are on rollers. The case was refinished by my grandfather about 40 years ago. The lock face plate on the bookcase appears to be a replacement and was probably done at the time of the refinishing. The top has a carved design with a curved trim that is attached to each side of the carving. There is a small shelf above the secretary that is supported by a small turned post and also a turned post under the center front of the top of the case. The secretary has a small drawer and 2 pigeon holes above it and 2 more to the left and 2 on the right side to hold stationary. It also has a curved pen shelf on the left side beside the pigeon holes.
Hi there,
The watch I have here is a mechanical Gold Tudor. It bears the rose of the tudor but sadly no model name. Ihave seen some with a shield around the rose, this one does not have any. Is it a sign that it is older?
The mechanism is signed tudor,17 rubies and swiss made, the winding mechanism bears rolex crown and the serial number is 558249. The inside is stamped with the 0,750 18k sign and a stamp (face seen from the side)
Would any one no a production period and model name for this watch please? How much is it worth in your eyes?
Many thanks
