We inherited this buffet from my husband's mother. We know she inherited it from her aunt. We would love to know its time period. Thank you.
This bedroom furniture consists of a headboard, footboard, vanity with round mirror and an armoire (although my mother-in-law called it a chifferobe, not sure how to spell it). Both the armoire and vanity have wooden wheels.  We inherited these items from my husband's grandparents and have no idea of the origin, year or purchase price. We're not interested in restoring or keeping this furniture and frankly, we're not at all familiar with selling antiques let alone determining the value/asking price.Â
This watch has been in the family for years. I am able to find information about Elgin Sacred Heart pocket watches, but not Waltham. I cannot find any indications if it is gold, gold filled, etc. And I don't know how to open it or to wind it and don't want to damage it. Does it have any value? Can you direct me to any further information about it?
I havent decided if I want to sell it or not. Its very easy to pull pictures up online
I'm afraid I don't have any history on this item. I would love to know its time period and where it is from. I have been unable to find any other desk like this one. Thanks.
I am looking for any information about this plate given to me by my husbands grandmother a few years ago. From my research I have discovered that it is Haviland & Co, Limoge, and the H&Co mark on the back corresponds with the painted date of 1880. It is obviously hand painted, trimmed in gold and beautifully colored. On the back the initals A.L.M are found, the date 1880 and the word Lowell all in pink and under glaze. Any information about the artist, other works, or the signifigance of the word Lowell (MA?) is greatly appreciated.
My grandmother recently gave me this painting to find out more about it. She recieved it from her sister's monestary in Winsconsin after she passed away. My great Aunt received it from an Italian family right after they moved to the USA over 100 years ago. So it's from Italy, no signature, over 100 years old and stayed in a Monestary in Wisconsin until my great aunt died. Can anyone help me with this or point me in the right direction?
The handle seems to me to that the 4 lite colored rings are some sort of ivory. I believe the black part is either wood or another bone like material. The brass or copper before the blade has a pattern on both sides that is the same but you can tell its not a stamp. Â
I have 8 of these figurines. I have Squire Fox, Rue Rabbit, Harvey Mouse, Jeremy and Willy, Mr. Gruffey, Katie and Willy, Mr. Mouse and Mrs. Mouse.
Double Headed Eagle Pendant with a cross in the center. Both heads have a crown.
