The only information I have found on this was on the web at: http://members.aol.com/twade36577/wanted/early.htmĀ I emailed the author, however it was returned "undeliverable".Ā Ā I would greatly appreciate it if anyone out there can give my some furthur history and value on a full set of six.Ā There were eight, but two of the cups are missing.

The stones surrounding the face look to be peridot; one of the reasons I wanted to find one like this was to see if they indeed are. The stonesĀ are tight,Ā theĀ face isĀ scratch-free, and it keeps perfect time.
The only watch I could find at all similar in my research wasĀ a sunflower for the face and petals surrounding it. That one was dated late 1880s.
Is it wise to have the watch cleaned? Thank you!

The original manufacturer's document reads:
"Towle's Limited Edition Sterling CHRISTMAS PLATE
This is the first in a series of four limited edition Christmas Plates in solid silver made by the Towle Silversmiths whose craft traditions extend back to 1690. This plate features the symbols of six major world religions and a quotation from each on the need for brotherhood, understanding, and love among peoples of the world. Each plate in the series will be an original design that will never be available again. All plates will be solid silver, 10 1/2 " in diameter, and numbered consecutively. Only 2,500 of each plate will be made before destroying the dies forever.

Engraving on the back of the plate identifies the six symbols, along with a quotation from each religion on the brotherhood of man.

I found these great little stone carved flowers in jade pot at a thrift store and it certainly looks like it should be worth something, at least a bit more than I paid. If anyone has any information about this type of piece I would greatly appreciate the comments, thank you.
