C.S. Bell #32 Church Bell (Fully Functional)

By barry1979, 7 August, 2012
Description

I am a youth pastor and have been given the opportunity to remove and sell an old church bell from an old church building and keep the profits for my youth group.  My pastor and I traveled down to the church to take some pictures and found out that the bell was made by the C.S. Bell Company and has the number "32" on top.  The diameter is about 26" and the bell is in working condition.  I'll attach some pictures to give a better idea of the condition.

I have been in contact with a local contractor who would charge $140/hr to bring a crane over to get it down and I'm thinking we're looking at least 2 hours as the church is located in a very rural area and an hour would just be driving.  Can anyone give me an idea of the value of this bell and whether it would be worthwhile for me to undertake this project?  Also if anyone has any ideas of where I would try to sell this item.  I'm sure it weighs a lot, so not really sure about shipping.  Thank you for any help you can give!
