History
right after WWII ended, a friend of my dad's was stationed in Germany, he and his wife met a German woman who wanted to sell the picture/model to help pay for surgery she needed. She wanted $40 and they paid it and brought it back to the states where they kept it until 1968. My dad knew this man and was in his office one day in 1968 and saw the picture/model, he told his wife if he ever wanted to sell it, he wanted to buy it. She told him they had gave $40 for it to a German woman, and give him the history of it, she told dad she would take $40 for it and dad bought it and has been hanging in his house ever since.
