I am rather surprised you are unable to read the brand. Your nicely clear photo helps me to read at least some of it.
The only letter I cannot make out of the main name is the very first, primarily because I am not sure if it is a T or an F, due to the styling.
But the rest of it is "aukins".
I can clearly see the small A, and the third letter's appearance can only be a U, The K, I, and N are clear. And the curves of the final letter can only be that of an S.
Underneath some letters are also fairly easy to make out.
The second line is clearly the word "Of"
The third line all I can make out are the letters, the r and y, then the L.
Though I can possibly see that before the r is a u. That would make it ury. Before the U, judging by the red and the white, could either belong to a b, or another r. the white before that seems to indicate the letter t.
I am guessing that put together it is the name of a company on a specific street, or rather lane.
Just looking at the design I'd hazard to say it is from WW2. I doubt electricity had advanced far enough to create portable lamps by WW1. And doubt they had batteries for such things back then.
I can also see that you can twist the bulb end off, as I can clearly see the simple latching mechanism. And what appears to be a seam at the other end, which may also be twistable (perhaps to replace batteries). You may find out more if you do so. The bulb inside (if there is one) and the battery (if there is one) may give more info.
