This Serving Bowl was taken right off a table in France when the Americans liberated the French. . Our priest and family friend told us that one of the soldiers packed it up and sent it back to the states. The family had to flee the Nazis so fast they the table with food on it. The priest was a Chaplan during the war. Originally, a gravy bowl and cups n saucers came with it. Most of the cups broke on the trip overseas. This is the only piece left.
The J could be a T. It is written in cursive.
