Description
I bought this at a yard sale, and have been searching all over the internet for information but I haven't had any luck. It's what seems to be a perfume bottle. The inscription at the bottom says "Ronson. Newark, NJ. US PATENT RE. NG. 1902". The bottom has two screws, both are removable and the smaller one has a spring attached to it.

That's actually a table lighter! A fancier way of lighting cigarretes and candles, back in the day. It would have been filled with kerosene. This piece was once silver plated, but unfortunately it looks like much of it has come off, either due to regular use or excessive polishing. Its still pretty, but in its condition probably not worth much. Use it, display it, love it. =D

I too own one as well and can attest to the fact that it is in fact a vintage table cigarette lighter. It was manufactuered by Ronson somewhere between the 1930's to 1940's. If you google Vintage Ronson Table Lighters it will probably come up by the dozens as they are not hard to find. Good luck!
