?Jade? statue

I have no history,or details about this item! I inherited it. I may be jade, or soapstone? It is approximately 3 inches tall, and weighs about 88g.

There is an identifying mark of some kind on the base, but I have no idea of country of origin, orage.

Any help would be gratefully received.
