Spinet Desk

Profile picture for user Stmartin22

Description

Purchased from an estate sale in very dirty conditions. My plan is to clean and restore, but am concerned about my normal cleaning methods of deglazing prior to hand sanding.  The Veneer is cracked and peeled in a few areas. The joinery is dovetail on the drawers and everything else is secured with “stub tenon”.  I believe it is mahogany but I’m not completely certain. I have found no makers mark.  Possibly hidden underneath all the gunk.
