By AmberRasp82, 18 March, 2020
Description

Red cedar acme chest from South Bend, IN with cooper pieces and wooden handles 4ft long, 20 in wide and 18 in depth 70-100 lbs Fair condition with minor Knicks and scratches From what I have found, the Acme Chest company burnt July 4, 1916 and was not rebuilt, so from my guess this was made from 1910-1916?

History
Acme Chest company from South Bend, IN burnt July 4, 1916 and was never rebuilt. I found another chest exactly like this one from same company and it was said to be made sometime between 1910-1916.
This was a family heirloom passed down by the women in many families as a hope chest for the girls
