American mahogany chair with carved dog head armrests?

Description

I bought this chair at an auction about 15 years ago. I have seen similar items on line, but nothing exactly the same. Any information or feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

Based on what I can see in…

Based on what I can see in the image of this piece is actually Oak with a very dark stain on it pieces like this tend to be made in England during the late Victorian through to World War One. It tends to be based on early English Styles quite often the mix of Jacobian and Gothic Revival. We'd retail one like this for probably $150 $200 and take best offer.
