Silver Deer Swarovski Crystal 10 inch Emerald Castle

By aa209256, 31 March, 2008
Description

In 1991 Silver Deer (Crystallite) produced the Swarovski Crystal 10 inch Emerald Castle (Wizard of Oz). It is signed (engraved) by the artist Charles Castelli. There were expected to be 1200 of them made. Shortly after 1991, Crystal World absorbed Silver Deer, started the enchanted castle series, and included the emerald castle in that series, but soon stopped production of it. The emerald castle retail price was around 1,500.00. The reason so expensive was the number of crystals, it is stunning. They may have stopped production because Charles Castelli left the company around that time also.  Crystallite has no remaining records of how many were ever made. Not sure yet of Crystal World records. I think it is very rare. Mine is number 114.I have the certificate of authentication.  No visible nicks, but the tiny top has separated, it would need put back on, and I have the top. It is truly a beautiful thing, I want to find out how many there are, what it's worth, can I sell it.........
