Armenian Silver Purse

By quickbrowndog, 11 October, 2008
Description

This intricately carved object looks like a purse - has a chain attached and opens up. On one side is a character that I think is Armenian. On the other side is an image of a building. Both sides have decorative patterns as well. Inside looks like it might be mother of pearl it has a pearly sheen.

This seems to be quite old and again I am curious as to its history and value. Hopefully someone out there has an idea about it! Thanks.
